Training Course
This course covers in detail the electronic industry’s
most widely recognized standard used for acceptance criteria of high reliability circuit
board assemblies. This comprehensive 2 1/2 day course is designed for Inspectors,
Engineers, Operators, or any individuals who require interpretation skills and a
complete understanding of the IPC-A-610-C Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Standard.
Review of customer requirements and customization of the course curriculum can be performed
to accommodate specific areas of concern.
This training is accomplished on-site at the customer's facility or at
Circuit
Technology Training Center in Haverhill, MA. The content of this course
includes the following:
Topics Include
Criteria for acceptable laminate conditions.
Soldered connection requirements for plated-through holes.
Surface mounting criteria for chip components, leadless and leaded chip carriers.
Swaged hardware, and heatsink requirements of mechanical assemblies.
Component mounting criteria for DIPS, socket pins, and card edge connectors.
Discrete wiring assembly requirements.
Solder fillet dimensional criteria for all major SMT component groups.
SMT Soldering anomalies, such as tombstoning, dewetting, etc.
Certification
Upon completing the course and passing the written test each student receives an
IPC-A-610-C Worker Proficiency Certification from Circuit Technology Center confirming
they have demonstrated the competent skills necessary for meeting the demands of modern
electronic packaging.
